Constructed with PVD coating, KC7542(TM) and KC7512(TM) have fully cylindrical shank and can be used in CNC rigid or synchronous tapping. Design lends to predictable thread gaging, reducing part scrap and rework for oversized/undersized tapped holes. While KC7512 is suited for tapping aluminum and other non-ferrous materials, KC7542 is used for tapping steels and irons and can prevents chipping in steel up to 32 HRC.
