Model RZ 1000 features gearless planetary drive and workspindle with deviation of less than 0.3 arc-sec peak to peak. C1 axis that houses grinding spindle and all of its related axes rotates 180° to allow wheel change and manual or automatic loading of workspindle. Base is constructed of stainless steel, while tailstock, workspindle assembly, and tool holding axes are made of cast iron. Controlled by HMI software, 12-axis machine also includes touch trigger probe.

Main column carries grinding spindle, and slide rotates 180º in total - it rotates 90º to facilitate wheel change and another 90º to perform wheel dressing operations. Onboard loading system transports unground parts into high-production Gear Grinder. Parts can be organized in stacks of steel or plastic baskets.
